Barbara Jean Mueller passed away on September 22, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles P. "Chick" Mueller, Jr. and her two sons, Dana Nolan Sanderson and Nathan Lane Sanderson. Two previous husbands, Laszlo Simon and Charles Sanderson also died before her.
Barbara was born June 24, 1932 in Temple, TX, to Creasey Ray Smith and Estelle Irene Cargill. Her parents moved to San Antonio during World War II where her father worked at Fort Sam Houston. Barbara graduated in 1949 from George. W. Brackenridge High School. In her career as a secretary she worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for attorney Stanley Rosenberg, and for J. Don McClelland and his wife Mary. Barbara was very active in the Desk and Derrick Club, an organization for oil investors and their secretaries.
Barbara is survived by her brother Stanley Smith and his wife Edna, her nephews Steven and Charles Smith, and her step-children Kathy and John Mueller.
