Barbara was born to William Milton (Bill) and Reba (Ricky)Reaves November 21, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1969 and received a Bachelors from the Incarnate Word University in 1973 and a later degree from Trinity University in City Planning
She is survived by: Alan Reaves (brother) and his wife Janice, Staci Reaves, Stephanie and Marco Garza, Gaby Garza and Marissa Garza.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Bill Reaves and Mother, Reba (Ricky) Reaves.
Barbara worked as a city planner and grant writer for several cities both in Texas and out of state. The last position was with the City of Alice. In her younger years she enjoyed distance running and exercise and always enjoyed working with her local church.
A committal service is scheduled for August 29 at Sunset Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will occur at Barbara’s church in Alice at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if desired memorials may be made to the Morningside Church of Christ, 1396 Morningside Dr., Alice, Texas 78332.
