Bea was known for her creativity she brought into this world with her painting, crafting, crocheting, and embroidering. When Beatrice heard her favorite Tejano songs, she would let the melody take over and begin to dance her heart out. Beatrice had many forms of love that she would show her family and friends, one of those forms was cooking food. Beatrice had many dishes she would make but her staples were her mole, delicious enchiladas and her amazing menudo. Beatrice not only had cooking down but she was also outstanding at baking cookies.
Beatrice knew the importance of providing for her family and started a career journey where she would work at a cafeteria, to custodian work at USAA, and lastly to St. Mary’s University where she made lifelong friends and loved the students who attended.
Beatrice will be reunited in heaven with her mother, Luz Torres; sister, Guadalupe Lopez; brother, Marcelino Sanchez and daughter, Gloria Medina.
Her memory will forever live in her children, Rosemary Rivas (Robert), Dolores Diaz (Mike), Mary Helen Peterson (Don), and Diane Hernandez (Johnny). Siblings, Isabel “Chavela” Valdez, Mike Sanchez, Johnny Sanchez, Victor Sanchez, Teresa Reyna, Delfina Rivera, and Julie Houshmand. She will also be greatly missed by all her 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
