Beatrice Bustos Martinez was called home by the Lord to join her loving husband, Raul M. Martinez, on December 25, 2008, at the age of 83.
She was born in Gonzales, Texas on August 14, 1925 to David and Luisa Bustos. Beatrice and Raul were married for 63 beautiful years. She graduated from St. Fernando High School and retired a LVN nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital in the ICU Department.
Upon retirement, she devoted countless volunteer hours to the Wesley Community Center, Blue Bird Thrift Shop, Audie Murphy Hospital Auxiliary, and grandchildren's booster clubs. She was a lifetime member of the Purple Heart Auxiliary.
She was also a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and Methodist Women's Auxiliary for many-many years.
She is survived by her children; Raul St. John Martinez and Elaine Herrera Andres. She has eight grandchildren; Kimberly E. Wasley, Andy Herrera, Brian Salas and Raul Billy Martinez; seven great-grandchildren; Kailynn Elaine, Shawn James, and Shailynn Summer Wasley.
