Her 14 Grandchildren Javier Andres Lopez (Valeria), Michalakis Antonios Koursaris (Monica), Marcos Antonios (Alicia), Justin Angel Cortes, Jeffrey Cortes, Jenevieve Alyza Cortes, Jeremy James Garza, Oscar Cortes, III, Daniel Gilbert Barrera, Aracely Pearla Cortes, Julia Leonor Barrera, Leila Marlene Magallanez, Molly Rae Magallanez and Maggie Lyn Magallanez. Belia was a proud Life Member to the Manuel Alvarado VFW Post 9186 Auxiliary where she volunteered and attended several events, parades, and fundraisers to support our Veterans and Honor her husband. She loved all genres of music, still believed in the art of letter writing and sending all occasion cards to those she held dear to her heart. She loved visiting with her girlfriends from high school, the sisterhood created with friends that became family and compadres, while stationed at several military bases across the United States. She loved her Bingo and had no favorites when it came to Casinos, she loved them all. Her strongest and most steadfast love was for her family. She was not just a homemaker, she was a partner, through thick and thin and miles away from their families. She created a home where the military orders took them, and it continued until retirement in 1972 and when she was back home in San Antonio with her extended family. She was proud of her children and was happy when all were present, but there was a different and stronger kind of love for her grandchildren. There is not one of them that could never sit with her and be completely open in a conversation and knew there was never any judgment and nothing but love, compassion, and guidance.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 5 PM with the rosary to be recited at 7 PM at
