Bennie Frank Wolfe, 95, born August 17, 1929, in Mineral, Texas peacefully went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2024. Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, Grover C. Wolfe Sr. and Sallie (Moseley) Wolfe; brother Grover C. Wolfe Jr.; and son, Donald Wolfe. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sandy Wolfe; son, Duke Wolfe; daughters, Deborah Ann Stevens (Clarence), Kristi Hunter (Michael); daughter-in-law, Melinda Wolfe; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He served in the United States Army from August 1948 – July 1950. Bennie worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired with 41 years of service. After retiring, he decided to design and build a log home from the ground up for his wife and himself to live in. He could build anything he set his mind to and was always tinkering with different projects. He was very creative with new ways to bypass anything that stopped working on the ranch to give it new life. He was the type of person who collected one of everything always saying, “I’ll have a use for that one day” and he did. Besides his love of projects, the ranch and cattle were his pride and joy, and he was constantly out in the field on the tractor. He was a sweet, kind, thoughtful, and amazing person who was always there to lend an ear and talk through any problems you might face. His guidance and knowledge were vast, and it made him the unique person he truly was. He will be forever missed. The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
