

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cosme and Andrea Alvizo, brother, Ralph Alvizo, and his niece, Loretta Alvizo. Ben is survived by his wife of 46 years, Yolanda Alvizo; sons, Bernabe Alvizo, Jr., Gabriel Alvizo and his wife Catherine, and Adam Alvizo and his wife Jennifer Alvizo; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, and Samuel Alvizo; brother, Cosme Jr. and his wife, Rosa Alvizo; sisters, Genevieve and her husband Hector DeHoyos, Juanita and her husband Joe Escalante, and Patsy Alvizo; mother-in-law, Anita Harvey; brother-in-law, Jerry Molina; sister-in-law, Melinda Molina.
Bernabe, or better known as Ben, was loving, generous, and always willing to help. He cherished every moment he spent with his wife and loved ones. He brought about so much happiness and laughter amongst everyone around him through his great story-telling and sharing of jokes. He will be remembered fondly for his sense of humor and his love of life.
Ben was retired from Northside Independent School District. He was an expert craftsman and was always hard-working. He loved building decks and working on other projects with his sons and nephews. His legacy of kindness, laughter, love and strength, will continue through his beautiful wife, his three hard-working sons, his sweet grandchildren, and the rest of his family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.
