Bernadine Elaine West Burnett

She was born in McCulloch County to Thomas Loyed West and Blake Draper West. She moved to San Antonio during World War II, where she worked at Kelly Field. In 1946 she married George A. Burnett, and they raised three children. She was a long time member of the Shenandoah Church of Christ.

From 1975-2008 Bernadine volunteered many hours to the Santa Rosa Hospital Auxiliary, where her ready smile and warm nature affected the lives of everyone who knew her. She served as the president of that organization twice.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Burnett and one sister.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Deidre LaBadie and husband, David (San Antonio), Casey Burnett (San Antonio), and Bruce Stephen Burnett and wife, Sharon (Sidney). She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
