After graduating High School, she furthered her education at Airline School in Minneapolis, MN and embarked on a 20 year career as a Ticket Agent and Supervisor with National Airlines in New York, Miami and Houston. In the chapters that followed, Bernice, alongside her beloved husband, Henry, ventured into entrepreneurship. Together, they started Alamo Salvage Pool, a business they owned and operated for two decades. The couple's business acumen and teamwork were a testament to their unwavering partnership, both professionally and personally.
Bernice and her husband shared a love for travel, making memories in countless corners of the world. She and Henry also loved traveling to Las Vegas to play “her” slot machines and “his” Craps game. Bernice’s joy was found in the simple pleasure of life, such as spending time with her daughter and close friends and playing Mah Jong in the company of friends or cooking beautiful meals for her family.
A very special Thank You to her loving Caregivers, Maritza Mares and Maria Lira who she loved so dearly. We are so grateful for the care that they gave her to ensure that she had “only the best” in her last years.
