Bernie Wong

Bernie received her Master's in Nursing Education in 2009. She was employed as an Emergency Room/Trauma Nurse for Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru, IL; Good Samaritan, Phoenix, AZ; California Hospital, Los Angeles, CA as a Sexual Assault Response Team Nurse; St. Francis Liliha, Honolulu, HI; St. Francis West, Ewa Beach, HI; Waianae Coast Comprehensive Medical Center, Waianae, HI; Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI; Lakenheath AFB, England as an OB/GYN Nurse; NE Methodist, San Antonio, TX; and the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, San Antonio, TX.

Bernie collected cows and turtles and was in love with the Hawaiian culture and learned to hula. She loved Italian food and traveling. Bernie was preceded in death by, her parents; her sister, Pam Wasielewski; brother-in-laws, Jack Wasielewski and Kenny Lord; and father-in-law, Solomon Michael Wong.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 19 years, Capt. Michael Crecencio Wong; son, Nahele Michael Wong; daughter, Leilani Bernadette Wong; brother, Joseph Lindenmier and his wife, Connie, sister, Sandy Lord; nephews: Chad, Ryan, Eric, Nick, Charlie, Cameron and Mason; nieces: Tara, Trisha, Stephanie and her husband, Fernando, and Madison; mother-in-law, Mary Enriquez Pompi; brothers-in-law, Marc Del Rosario and his wife, Monica and Matthew Wong; sister-in-law, Paz Cassidy; her best friend, Lois Turner and daughters, Julie and Michelle, and numerous other family and friends.
