Betty Patrice DeWitty

On March 13, 2014, Betty Patrice DeWitty was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Betty passed away in peace and surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty was born in 1982 to John and Glenda DeWitty in Corpus Christi, TX. After graduating from high school in McAllen,TX, she obtained a BA in Business Management at The University of Texas-Pan American. Betty was employed with HEB Grocery Company for 10 years, where she started in the stores in the Border Region, and concluded at the corporate offices in San Antonio. Betty accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age, and continued to strengthen her personal relationship with the Lord throughout her life. Betty inspired many people through her faith and testimony, especially her son, whom she loved and cherished unconditionally. Betty will be remembered by her contagious smile and infectious personality, positive attitude, and joyful spirit.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda DeWitty. Betty is survived by her son, Christian T. DeWitty; father, John H. DeWitty, Jr.; brother, John H. DeWitty, III; sister, Shauna L. DeWitty; grandmother, Betty M. Wesley; fianc, Thomas C. Wilson; aunt, Juanita McMarion; uncles, Willie and Randolph Flennoy; and numerous cousins and friends.
