Betty Rozeitha Kearney

Betty Rozeitha Kearney, age 85, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in San Antonio. She was born on July 4, 1939, in St. Michael, Barbados, to Darnley and Elsie Smith. Betty graduated with her Master’s Degree in Education at Texas A&M Kingsville. Then she was a special ed teacher for 26 years at Robstown. She also taught vision. Then she worked with vision children doing contract work for small school districts throughout South Texas. Till she retired at 79.

She loved to spend time with family and friends. Also Traveling especially to Barbados loved movies plays and concerts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Kearney; children, Edward Maurice Kearney, and Marie Diane Kearney; and parents, Elise Dora and Darnley Smith.

Betty is survived by her children, David Ernest Kearney, Donald Wayne Kearney, Amanda (Mandy) Marie Patterson (former brother-in-law Cristopher Patterson); grandchildren, James Palmer, Vanessa Kearney, Bryan Kearney, David Michael Kearney, Ian Patterson, Asia Patterson, Cristian Patterson, Davonna Kearney, and Diane Kearney; and great-grandchildren, Colton Kearney, Jordan Darcy, Yara Falahchay, and Isla Marie Falahchay.
