Loving mother, chef, green thumb, dancer, music lover and natural born artist who was as adept at ceramics as she was at painting. This embodied Betty Ruth Pfeil Lechowick and she will be missed dearly. Betty Ruth passed away on May 17, 2018, at the age of 72 years.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Betty Ruth was born on August 1, 1945 to Katherine Pfeil and William Pfeil. She attended Alamo Heights High School. And graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Austin.
She was an elementary and middle school art teacher at Healy-Murphy and Edgewood ISD. She was a talented free-lance artist and served as a docent at the McNay Art Museum. And she became a licensed real estate agent at Bradfield Properties.
Betty Ruth had a zest for life. She was known for her courage, faith, strength, resilience, and perseverance.
She is survived by her sons Cesar Lechowick and Josh Lechowick, her daughter Maya Lechowick and two grandchildren, Joseph and Ryan Lechowick.
A Celebration of Betty Ruth’s life will be held at 7pm, on Friday, May 25, at the Lechowick home, 339 Rittiman Rd., San Antonio, TX, 78209.
