Elder Betty Jean Palmer was born February 22, 1955 in Postelle, Arkansas
to Arlushes Turnbo and Christine Jarrett.
She spent her childhood in Arkansas
where she graduated from Forest City High School, Class of 1973.
After graduation, Betty served in the Army for three years.
Betty went to nursing school where she graduated in 1987.
She worked as a nurse for the duration of her life and
was nominated as Who's Who in the Nursing Profession 2006.
She was a loving caregiver to all of her patients and served with a compassionate heart.
Betty is a current, faithful member and servant of
New Life Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas.
Throughout her life, she was active in the Kingdom of God
with various bodies of believers across America.
She was a 2001 graduate of Missionary/Intercessor/Leadership Training Academy under the direction of Reverend Carolyn Gilbert. Betty Jean Palmer served as a team leader on Mexico mission trips, involved in the Kingdom Warrior Prayer Ministry and on the teaching staff. She was instrumental in getting the local pastors and business leaders involved Missionaries With The Vision (MWTV) training programs.
Betty also graduated from Women of God School under the leadership of Diane Hagee at Cornerstone church May of 2001. In addition, Betty completed Believer's School of Prophecy under the Second Veil Ministries by Instructor Prophet Veron Blue in December 2001.
Betty Jean Palmer leaves behind two daughters Andrea and Christine Palmer, and a granddaughter Carissa McGarity. She is the eldest of her siblings
and leaves behind her brother Marvin Turnbo, Tony Gentry, Wattis Gentry, and her sisters
Jackie Richardson, Tammy Davis, Debra Turnbo,
and Kimberly Turnbo;
and a host of nieces and nephews.
Betty was a blessed Woman of God who loved the Lord and his people.
She truly loved to empower people to succeed in ministry, their lives, and in their future.
Betty will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
The scripture "Go Ye therefore, and teach all Nations, baptizing them in the name
Of the Father, and the son, and the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19,
truly describes Betty's dedication and service to God.
Service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Fellowship Church, 11225 E. Loop 1604 N. Universal City, TX 78148.
Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
