Betty accomplished so much in her lifetime with us. She was a wonderful grandmother and all of her grandchildren have wonderful memories of the places she took them and fun things she did with them. Betty was also very talented. She enjoyed painting, quilting, needlework, crocheting, knitting, playing bridge and she was very good at trivia.
Betty and Kurt enjoyed a wonderful 63 years together. They traveled all over, visiting 50 states as well as Mexico, Germany and the Caribbean. She has said that they never argued, they only had “spirited discussions”. Her mother tried to discourage the marriage to her one-armed beau saying that Betty would have to take care of him for the rest of her life. She always said that was not the case, as Kurt was very capable of taking care of himself. She always said he was a wonderful husband and that he was very good to her. Now she is reunited with him in their eternal life together with the Lord.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday February 9th (her birthday) at St Andrew Lutheran Church, 7420 FM 2673, Canyon Lake. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you make a memorial contribution to St Andrew Lutheran Church, The Parkinson’s Foundation or to the charity of your
