Betty Jo Whitehead

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Lee Whitehead, parents Walter and Clara Menck, sister Shirley Menck, and brother Buddy Menck.

She is survived by her son Bruce Whitehead, sister Gene Herrmann and husband Don, brother Jimmy Menck and wife Anita, and many, many nieces and nephews.

Betty was raised in Natalia, TX and after her marriage to Jimmy, they moved to San Antonio.

While raising her family, Betty was a bookkeeper then office manager with Bob Jones Reality for 39 years.

For over 50 years Betty was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church serving on the Altar Guild and a member of The Daughters of the King.

Betty had endless energy, with Jimmy giving her the nickname "Betty Go". She and Jimmy were always busy with family get-togethers both at home, and in Natalia and Lytle, church functions, or simply inviting family and friends over for fun and laughter.

Betty loved to cook for everyone and was always ready to help others. She will be remembered by her son, not only as a loving mother, but as a life-long friend.
