Beverly Lorraine Eckhart, age 82, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2015. She was born on July 20, 1932 to Harold & Myrtle Ross in Maple Hill, Iowa. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Beverly was an active member of Windcrest United Methodist Church. She served as an active volunteer of Neighbors Helping Neighbors and was a member of several church committees.
Left to cherish Beverly’s memory are her children, Robert (Chris) Eckhart; Stephen (Kay) Eckhart; Rhonda Gwaltney; Debra (Dan) Herman; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding Beverly in death are her husband, Amil Joseph Eckhart; son, Richard Eckhart; grandsons Phillip Gwaltney and Bud Eckhart.
The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm , Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Windcrest United Methodist Church in San Antonio, with a church reception to follow. A private burial will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Marfan Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
