She was born August 12, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas to Edward L. Boyd and Gloria Boyd. Her father preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Joan Robbins Boyd; husband, Douglas Kyle Hallmark; brother Joe E. Boyd and wife Debbie; brother, James M. Boyd and wife Debbie; and brother, Roy L. Boyd. On her husband's side there is Sister-in-Law Tama Blend, her husband Jim, and their children Paige and husband Brad, JB, and Virginia. She happily reunited with her Aunt Jo, cousin Patty, with husband John and their son Brett and was close to Doug's extended family of Starks and Doaks. She leaves behind a large group of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family across Texas and Alabama.
She grew up in the Northside ISD attending Oak Hills Elementary, Pat Neff Junior High, and John Marshall High School. In her school days she was a member of the Ramblorette dance team, Leo Club, and J-Club. Beverly received an Associate in Applied Sciences from SAC, a Bachelor of Science of Occupational Education from SWTSU, and a Masters of Science Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M, Kingsville.
She was a member of several educational and professional organizations and was an Oak Hills Lions Club Member. She devoted a large amount of her life to community service both through school and Lions Club and more importantly guided hundreds of her students into that work.
Beverly loved working at her beloved MacArthur and at L.B. Johnson High School. She was instrumental in the Health Science Technology Program, HOSA Program and the Leo Club, at times heading the largest programs of each in the city.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Dr. Wilder, Dr. Marks, their staffs, and numerous friends for the care and attention they provided for Beverly.
We cannot say enough about the love and affection our many relatives, school friends, family friends and neighbors who spent so much time over the last 18 months attending to Beverly. We are abundantly touched by your thoughts and prayers.
