Bill Hopper, age 90, passed away August 21, 2011. He was born in Blue Ridge, TX to Clint & Jewel Hopper on September 6, 1920. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Masons for 70 years and an Alzafar Shrine member for 36 years. He retired in 1985 after 26 years from Calavo Avocado Produce. He was also an avid golfer and member of the Alzafar Golf Unit (achieving 10 holes in one).
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 66 years, Marguerite; sons, Bobby and Terry.
Bill is survived by his wife, Roberta Hopper; grandchildren, T.J. Hopper & wife Karen; great grandchildren, Taylor Hopper, John Hopper and Michelle Hopper; step-son, Mark Achilles & his family in Houston.
The Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park.
