Dear Barbara, Chad and Amy,
I'm sorry to hear of your loss.  I know that when daddy passed away it was difficult to experience.  I miss him to this day.  I know that you will experience some of the same grief and sadness and I wanted you to know that I' m thinking of all of you and wish you peace and love during this time.  
One of my favorite things about Uncle Billy Ray was that he always called my Holly Kay.  I was lucky enough to wish him a happy  birthday last year, and even in my 50s,  he referred to me as "little Holly Kay."  I of course responded in kind and only called him Uncle Billy Ray rather than Uncle Bill or Billy.  Something so simple can become something special our funny exchange continued throughout both of our lives.  Uncle Billy Ray was always very sweet to me, and no matter what he had going on, he always had time to talk with me and he always seemed interested in what was going on in my life.  I feel lucky to have had such caring  uncle.  I know my daddy loved his brother very much.   He (and my mom) told me many stories of their lives together when they first married.    I am grateful to have had him in my life and that I always knew he loved me too.  I wish you all sympathy and love as you celebrate his life.

I am truly sorry for your loss. 


Mr. Haddock always  made me feel welcomed. 

He was a great man and 
 happens to be one of two men I know who got a technical foul while in the stands at a 8th grade Catholic school basketball game. The other was my dad.

Chad, I know it's hard to lose a dad, though hope the good memories will sustain you through this difficult time and in the future.  I know he's proud of what you have accomplished and sounds as if you've taken on those inclusive traits from him.

Birthday celebration with his Granddaughter and Son.

Bills favorite place Bun and Barrel. He loved their Cheese Burgers and before he left us he asked for one.

I mostly remember Mr. Haddock from my grade school and high school days at Saint Pius X and St. Anthony, respectively. I remember him coming out to our sports games to cheer on his son, Chad and his daughter, Amy, who were both terrific athletes. I also remember visiting with him in his living room a few times when over to the house to meet up with Chad and the Czarnecki’s. Mr. Haddock would be in his recliner, usually with a Texas Longhorn cap on, watching some sporting event on the television. He was always incredibly friendly and welcoming and funny. Just the nicest guy you could ever meet. He’s one of those people you meet growing up and say to yourself “I hope I’m that happy when I’m older.” The Haddock’s were, and are a very special Saint Pius community family, and our prayers go out to all of them. Mr. Haddock lived life the right kind of way, and he’ll be greatly missed, especially his gregarious spirit and laugh. Hook ‘em Mr. Haddock!
