

Billy Mack Onstott was born on August 31, 1941, to Charlie Clifford Onstott and Maudie Ethyl (Lee) Onstott in Hamilton, Texas. He graduated from Evant High School in 1959 and received a degree in economics from Tarleton State University in January of 1964. After graduation, he reported to active duty, serving with the U.S. Army from 1964 - 1968. While on active duty he was stationed with the 11th Air Assault Division, Fort Benning, GA, 1st Cavalry division, Vietnam, and with the 101 Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY. He served in the infantry as a reconnaissance platoon leader and company commander. He retired from the Army as a Captain.
After leaving the Army, he worked for 3M Company and retired in 2001 after 31 years of service. While with 3M Company he was successful in setting up a sales and supply network, supplying geophysical seismic marine vessels with 3M data recording products on a global basis.
Bill and his wife Suzanne have been long term active members of the Windwood Presbyterian Church and lived in Cypress, Texas, since retirement. Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Karen Suzanne Onstott; son, William Curt Onstott (Sandra Brunk Onstott); son, Gregory Scott Onstott; granddaughters, Ashley Denae Kepler, Alexandra Paige Onstott, Katrina Taylor Onstott; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas Kepler, Nolan Kepler, and Daniella Kepler.
