Bobbette Ann McCampbell Vollmer

Bobbette Ann McCampbell Vollmer, born on August 11, 1939 in Sioux City, Iowa entered into rest on July 13, 2012 at the age 72. She was a majorette and graduated from Edison High School in 1957. Bobbette worked for the juvenile probation department in San Antonio in the 1970’s. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her amazingly upbeat attitude throughout her long illness. She was loved greatly by her family and friends. Her attitude will always be remembered by those who were lucky enough to be in her presence until the end.

Bobbette was preceded in death by her parents, Loren McCampbell and Edith Dowling; brother, Wallace H. McCampbell; and Virgil & Margaret Keefe. Survivors include her sons, Doug Vollmer of San Antonio, Rodney Vollmer & wife, Lisa of Moore, Tx; grandchildren, Lindsey Vollmer and Jarrod “J.C.” Vollmer of Moore, TX; sisters, Penny Renken & husband, Billy, Vicky Lykes and Dee Phillips; brother, Loren McCampbell Jr. & wife, Pat; Bubba Vollmer & the entire Vollmer family; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A great thanks goes out to Maria Garza and Juanita Rodriguez for their great care for our mother at the end of her illness.

Visitation will take place 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
