

Her formative years were spent in Monroe, LA. She was involved in several church ministries at St. Marks Episcopal Church including home bible studies and church leadership. She served on the International Board of the Anglican Study of Prayers. Bobbye was an avid reader.
She wrote thousands of recipes and received awards for her paintings. She taught and designed needlepoint which included the kneelers at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She raised hybrid day lilies, her gardens were often on tour.
Bobbye was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Sydney and Clara Inez Owens.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Adelbert Manion; two daughters, Linda Ward and husband, Bobby; and Tana Trichel; grandchildren, Stacey Elston and husband, Jon; Beth Ward, Todd Trichel and wife, Ann; Jana Trichel Plauche and husband, Rhett; great grandchildren, Thomas Elston, Kathryn Elston, Remy Trichel, Chaston Trichel, Katherine Plauche, Will and Matthew Plauche; brother, Ed Owens , and wife, Barbara, their children, Charm and Donna; and sister, Kay Hancock and husband, O.C., their children Diane, Sharon and Craig. She is also survived by special friends Frank and Nancie Sutter.
Bobbye Jean was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family, friends and church family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bobbye Jean Manion to St. Mark's Episcopal Memorial Special Offerings.
