

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Y. Garcia, age 45, of San Antonio, Texas, who went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2025. Brenda was born on June 25, 1979, in San Antonio, to Margie Coronado and James Coronado.
Brenda dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a registered nurse with a BSN for many years at St. Luke's Baptist Hospital. Her compassionate nature and deep commitment to her patients made her a cherished member of the healthcare community. She had an innate passion for helping those in need and always put others before herself.
Outside of her career, Brenda loved to travel and create lasting memories with her family, whom she cherished deeply. She was a proud mother and grandmother, and her love for her children and grandchildren was unmatched.
Brenda is survived by her loving mother, Margie Coronado; father, James Coronado; sister, Denielle Vega; sons, Christopher Joe Urista Jr., Shaun Anthony Urista, and Derek Draven Davila; daughter, Jalyana Angelique Garcia; grandchildren, Shaun Anthony Urista Jr., Louie Joseph Urista, and Shae Aric Urista and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her kindness, strength, and loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Visitation for Brenda will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Processional will depart from the funeral home at 10:20 AM for A Mass of the Resurrection that will be recited Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower, San Antonio, TX 78201, services will conclude at church.
