Brenda Sue Hines

Brenda was born in San Antonio, Texas to Chester and Sally Hines on April 29, 1963. She graduated from John Jay High School in 1981 before attending UTSA from 1981-1986. Later she attended nursing school, and worked as a registered nurse throughout her life, both serving as an ER nurse and a home health nurse. At the end of her career she was a teacher, using her wide expanse of knowledge and experience to train the next generation of nurses.

She loved teaching, especially her weekly children’s Sunday School class. She also spent as much time as possible with her grandkids and pets. In her spare time you could almost always find her at estate sales and antique shops.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Chester H. Hines and Sally F. Hines, as well as her brother, Rex H. Hines.

Brenda is survived by her sisters Deborah F. Hines and Judy C. Hines.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at La Coste First Baptist Church (11929 W Farm to Market 2790 S). Interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements are made by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks for the love and support during this time. Above all, Brenda will be remembered for her love of helping others. It is an honor to her memory to see how other’s have helped us since her passing.
