Brian Neill- June 8, 1971- July 30, 2016
Tressie Neill- November 17, 1972- July 30, 2016
Brian and Tressie Neill, loving mother and father, devoted family members and friends, and faithful servants of God, went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 30, 2016. Both San Antonio natives, these McCollum High School sweethearts were married for 23 years.
Tressie, a dedicated employee of City Public Service for 25 years, was adored and loved by all. She enjoyed family gatherings and watching her daughters participate in sports. Tressie was blessed with a gift for seeing the beauty in everything and everyone, and was always passionate about finding quiet time with God.
Brian was a Master mechanic at Brown Chevrolet in Devine, TX for over 20 years. He had a sense of humor that could always put a smile on your face. He enjoyed taking his girls hunting, and found a hobby in woodwork. A closet musician, Brian appreciated playing the banjo, violin and harmonica. He had a passion for working on cars, and could fix or build anything he set on his mind.
They were faithful attendants of Bandera Road City Church where both Brian and Tressie served as leaders in numerous adult ministry classes, and sponsored individuals for the Walk to Emmaus. Together they enjoyed traveling on family vacations, being involved within their church congregation and sharing life with everyone they loved.
Above all else, Brian and Tressie poured their heart and soul into their two girls, Shelby and Sarah, and they will truly be missed by all those who loved and knew them.
Tressie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hanson. Brian and Tressie are survived by their two daughters, Shelby and Sarah Neill. Tressie is survived by her sisters, Joyce (Robert) and Callie. Brian is survived by parents, Dorothy and Bob Leinweber and Gary and Sandra Neill, and siblings, Curtis Neill, Trey (Denise), Stephanie (Jay), Michele (Steve), and Jeffery (Lynnette), along with numerous nieces and nephews whom all loved them dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, from 7-9pm at CityChurch Bandera Road (9431 Bandera Road). Funeral services, orchestrated by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, will be Saturday, August 13, at 10am at CityChurch with Interment following at Sunset Memorial Park (1701 Austin Hwy). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CityChurch Bandera Road. The family extends their most sincere thanks to all who offered sweet words, support and donations. Your love and generosity is greatly appreciated.
*A memory box will be made in remembrance of Brian and Tressie Neill. The daughters ask that if you have a small photo with Brian or Tressie and are willing to share, to please bring it to the Visitation. An area will be set up at the Visitation to collect memories of the two and the memory box will then be passed on to their girls.
