Brian James Byall, 62, of San Antonio, passed away on 16 July 2026 in San Antonio.
Brian was born in San Antonio to Aurtie and Mary Byall on 13 August 1963. He attended Winston Churchill High School and graduated from Texas State Technical College in Waco. He worked as an aircraft mechanic at Dee Howard and Sunbelt Tools. He was a veteran and served in the Army as a helicopter mechanic certified on AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters and CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopters. He was honorably discharged for the Army after 4 years and 8 months of service at the rank of Specialist. His hobbies include material arts, playing the piano and guitar, spending time with his dog Chunk, and listening to music.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Arthur Byall, and his older brother Noel.
Brian is survived by son Chad Byall and daughter-in-law Kristy Byall, daughter Heather Byall, his brother Wayne Byall, and grandchildren Jude and Penelope Byall.
Pallbearers will be provided by Veterans' Affairs.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on 18 August 2026 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, arrangements are by Sunset Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to 1749 Paras Avenue, Abilene TX, if any
