
He was born August 23, 1923, in Emporia, Kansas, to the late William Henry Teague and Clara Margaret Stout.
Donald began his military career in the Army Air Corps and became a commissioned officer in the US Air Force. General Stout was a command pilot and retired as Division Commander of the 47th Air Division. He was a graduate of Stanford University and of the National War College. For the past thirty years, Donald was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. After retirement, he served as District Coordinator for AARPs Tax-Aide program, where he provided free tax counseling and preparation services to low- and middle-income San Antonio residents.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl Howe and William Kenneth Stout, Wilma Beth ODaniel and Margaret May ImMasche.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Margery Olson Stout; children, Donald E. Stout, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Olympia, WA, Susan Garnatz and husband, Vincent of Newton, KS; granddaughters, Melissa and husband, Dr. Christopher Zieker of Saratoga Springs, NY, Melanie and husband, Keith Manuel, of New Canaan, CT; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Allison Margery Zieker; sister-in-law, Artis M. Ball of Fort Worth, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
