A graduate of Nebraska State College, Omaha in 1952, he received a doctorate from UNMC in 1957 and completed his residency training there in 1971.
He then joined the Air Force Reserve in May 1971, attaining the rank of Brigadier General. He attended various military trainings and the air war college in 1981.
Gen. Jardon practiced six years in Loop City Nebraska before his residency at UNMC, Omaha. Following his residency he remained on staff as a full-time professor of orthopedics until his retirement.
Survivors include: his wife, Moyra Jardon of Fulton, TX; Children Eric Jardon of Illinois and Karla Jardon of San Clemente, CA; brother, Don Jardon, Alma, NE; 2 grandchildren, Kris and Carrie Jardon; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ryan Kathleen and Kai.
