He was loved and respected by many.
Many friends will remember him in his orange and white #2 Camaro. His racing career was a success. He was one of the best racecar drivers in and around this area. Buddy raced at some of the most popular tracks, like Hwy. 16, now San Antonio Speedway, Pan American Speedway, Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi, Oklahoma City, Victoria and many more.
He also owned and operated his own business, Buddy Yantis Automotive, and believed that the customer came first. In 1985 he moved his business to 10115 E. Loop 1604, Converse, Texas.
In 1994, when it was time for him to retire, he handed his business over, along with his knowledge to his only son, Buddy Yantis, Jr. Buddy, Jr. brought his company into the next generation and invested in diagnostics, Buddy, Sr. was very proud of his children.
