Buena V. Haecker

Buena Vista Crunk Haecker, age 92, went to be with the Lord January 16, 2016. She was born July 26, 1923 in Lucile, Oklahoma to James Crunk and Selinda Elizabeth Cooper Crunk. She joined the military during WWII and was stationed in Santa Maria, California where she met and married Howard Edwin Haecker. They were married for 43 years and had five children.

They enjoyed the many friendships they developed with parishioners, teachers, and students during 40+ years of service at Concordia Lutheran Church of San Antonio.

Buena was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and by their young daughter, Karin Yvonne.

She is survived by their three sons, Eric and his wife Roberta, Ivan and his wife Pat, and Aaron and his wife Janice, and by their daughter, Buena Marie Muhoberac and her husband Bernard. She also leaves five grandchildren, Holly Briggs and her husband Tyler, and David, Lara, Adam, and Katherine Haecker; and two great grandchildren, Logan James and Madelene Elizabeth Clements.

Buena will be greatly missed.

Services are scheduled for 11:30 AM on Wednesday, January 20th 2016 in the chapel at Sunset Funeral Home.
