Byron was born to Murl J. Manlove and Toni Pfiester Manlove, September 25, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas.
He is survived by Sharon Manlove Harp, sister, and his beloved foster mother, Sonia Artavia, and her family, who was like his own. He also leaves to cherish his memory cousins Kenneth (Pepper) Pfiester, Michael (Carrie Ann) Pfiester, Rodney (Nan) Pfiester, Koren (Robert) Pfiester, Bert Pfiester, Charles (Diana) Pfiester, Jeffrey (Debbie) Pfiester, and Kevin Pfiester.
He was preceded in death by Murl J. Manlove, father, and Toni Pfiester Manlove, mother, and a stillborn older sister, Linda Manlove.
Byron enjoyed movies, swimming, and sitting outside, preferably in a swing or rocking chair. He greeted most people with a request for Coke (or Dr Pepper), M&M's, and Cheetos. He was easy to please and enjoyed spending time alone or with loved ones. He especially enjoyed his birthday parties, where he saw cousins and childhood friends. After some very difficult years in the Austin and San Antonio State Schools, he was blessed to be taken to Rigina Blue's foster home. His life immediately changed for the better. After her passing, he eventually came to live in Sonia Artavia's foster home, where he was lovingly cared for for many years and was very happy.
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2024. A visitation will take place from 9 am to 10 am, the service will begin at 10 am and graveside service will commence after. The family requests that any donations be made to the charity of your choice. The family would especially like to thank Sonia Artavia and her family for their devotion to and loving care of Byron these last 17 years. Nobody could have done a better job or provided him with a happier home.
