Caitlin Carson Brown

Cati Carson Brown, 37, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025 in San Antonio, TX, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cati was born on October 12, 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. She came home to her parents, Patrick Douglas “Doug” Carson and Mary Patricia “Patti” Carson in February 1988. She was a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and a 2009 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. Cati received a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Southern University in 2013.

After receiving her master’s degree, Cati moved to Texas to work as a speech pathologist, working in private practical clinics, schools, rehabilitation centers and home health. Cati traveled across the world and worked to have a positive impact on other people’s lives. She served as a volunteer for the Special Olympics and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Cati met Chris Brown in 2015 and they married in Baton Rouge, LA in 2017. Their biggest joy was the birth of their son, Colton, in 2019. Above all, she adored being a mother. Her days were filled with laughter, traveling, and moments that made life feel magical.

Cati is preceded in death by Rosalie Donahue Duke. She is survived by her son, Colton Brown, husband, Chris Brown, parents, Doug and Patti Carson, father-in-law, Richard Brown, mother-in-law, Leslie Brown, brothers, Chris, Daniel, and Jamie Carson, sisters-in-law, Danielle Badillo Carson, Tori Durand Carson, and Jessica Yeakle, nephews, Julian Carson Arthur Carson, and Zander Yeakle, and niece, Kendra Garcia.

The family would like to thank everyone who offered love, prayers, and support during Cati’s fight. Your generosity and kindness brought her comfort and strength.

A gathering of family & friends for Cati will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with celebration of Cati's life starting at 12:00 pm at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas 78232. Cati’s light will live on in everyone who knew her. We will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
