Camilla Mueller Parker

Camilla Beatrice Mueller Parker, 89, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2026, surrounded by her family. A lifelong San Antonian, Camilla lived a life marked by unwavering faith, adoration for her family, and joyful service to her community.

She was born on September 28th, 1936, in San Antonio to George and Camilla Mueller and remained deeply connected to the city she loved throughout her life. She attended Saint Mary's Hall before continuing her education at Sweet Briar College, graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She was a loyal and proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Camilla married William Alfred Parker on April 27th, 1960. Together they joyfully raised their three children, Camilla, William, Jr., and Alicia. Bill, her beloved husband of 56 years, preceded her in death on November 30th, 2016.

Camilla lived a life of faith, family, and service. A devoted follower of Christ, she was christened and confirmed at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, which remained her spiritual home throughout her life. Her faith was not something she kept to herself — it was evident in the love she gave her family, the grace with which she welcomed others, and the generosity and compassion she brought to her community.

Those who knew Camilla will remember her gracious spirit, quiet strength, and genuine kindness. She had a gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for — whether through a thoughtful conversation, a handwritten note, or a seat at her table, where her gifts as a cook were legendary. In countless ordinary ways, she reflected Christ's love. For many, many years, she and Bill delighted in gathering their family at their home for Sunday lunch after church — first with their children, then happily adding sons- and daughters-in-law, and joyously welcoming grandchildren as the table grew. After Bill passed away, she continued to celebrate each milestone with joy, finding her greatest happiness in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren flourish. Hers is a legacy of true faith, generous love, and a life faithfully lived.

Her lifelong commitment to serving others was reflected in the many organizations she supported throughout her life. She served as President of the Charity Ball Association, twice chaired the Fenwick Club, and was President of Our Reading Club. A passionate advocate for healthcare and her community, she served on the boards of Methodist Hospital and St. Luke's Baptist Hospital. Camilla served as President of the Methodist Hospital Foundation and supported the Cancer Therapy & Research Center at UT Health San Antonio. She also volunteered her time at Methodist Hospital as a Blue Bird and was a lifetime board member of the San Antonio Medical Foundation.

Her dedication to service was recognized with numerous honors, including the Women in Communication Award and recognition from the Good Samaritan Center. She and Bill were also honored by Friends of Hospice for their shared commitment to the community. In 2018, Saint Mary's Hall recognized her lifelong achievements by naming her its Distinguished Alumna. Camilla was also a dedicated member of the Battle of Flowers Association, the Alamo Heights-Terrell Hills Garden Club, and The Assembly, as well as a member of The Argyle, Club Giraud, and the San Antonio Country Club.

Camilla is survived and loved by her children, Camilla Parker Mixon (Steve), William Alfred Parker Jr., and Alicia Parker Brusenhan (Harry J); her eight cherished grandchildren, William Thomas Cowden, Parker Jean Cowden, Judith Parker Mott (Brent), Kelly Parker Schoolcraft (Matt), Vaughn Parker Mitchell (Matt), Camilla (Milla) Brusenhan DeWalch (Carter), Ian Brusenhan Britton (Jack), and Alicia (Ali) Louise Brusenhan; her eight — soon to be nine! — treasured great-grandchildren; and her many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom blessed her with their friendship, love, and wisdom. She will also be dearly missed by her two precious dachshunds, Frieda and Chula. In addition to her beloved husband, Bill, Camilla was preceded in death by her parents, George and Camilla Mueller; her brother, George Mueller Jr.; and members of the Parker family.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to her ever-faithful advisor, P.J Fleming; Dr. Bradley Kayser and his nurse, "Queen Irene"; faithful and devoted Memo; the loving and most kind women of San Antonio Caregivers LLC — Sandy F., Connie A., Heidi P., Leila P., Kristin F. ("Dr. K"), Rosa T., Julia D., Donna P., Meghan C., Mercedes L., and Ruby S.; Hospice RNs Adriana and Michelle; and Dr. John Galan. We are in awe of and so very grateful to all of these truly special angels on earth. Their exceptional skill, unwavering compassion, loving care, kindness, attentiveness, and gentle presence brought comfort, dignity, and peace to Camilla and her family during her final days. Our family will never forget their generosity and kindness.
