

Carl Lloyd Lazzell, aged 84, passed away on August 20, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born in Morgantown, WV, on October 16, 1939, Carl was a respected figure in his community, entrepreneur and a loving family man.
Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Louise Lazzell; his three children, Amy Leigh Lazzell, Anna Carleen Davis, and Carl Lloyd Lazzell II; his five grandkids, Amanda Dooley, Taylor Davis, Tanner Davis, Connor Lazzell, and Cooper Lazzell; his half-brothers, Duane P. Lazzell and David W. Lazzell. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rufus Fenton Lazzell III and twin brother Charles Thomas Lazzell, along with his parents, Mildred Blanche Ray and Rufus Fenton Lazzell Jr, along with his grandparents, Rufus Fenton Lazzell Sr and Wenona Elizabeth Brown; along with great aunt Blanche Nettie Lazzell
Carl proudly served as a US Army Green Beret, a testament to his bravery and dedication to his country. Following his distinguished military service, Carl led a successful career as the President and Owner of General DE Carbon and worked in Logistics for NASA.
An alumnus of West Virginia University, Carl valued education and lifelong learning. His personal interests included golf, hunting, shooting, and enjoying cigars. He was also known for his great sense of humor, often sharing jokes with friends and family.
