He was born September 25, 1915 in Koblenz, Germany and came to the US at age 6.
He served in the military for 26 years with assignments in WWII that took him to New Guinea, and Burtonwood England. While in England, he organized the first American Boy Scout Troop.
His last assignment took him to the top of the world - Thule, Greenland.
He was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church where for many years he led the choir and sang solos during the holidays. His passion for music will always be remembered as well as the love for this family and dear friends.
He is preceeded in death by his mother, Erna Lieberman. Carl is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth; daughter, Susan Herrera and husband, Robert; son, Carl Jr. and wife Judy; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
