Carla Lynn Boyd was a caring mother, daughter, grandmother better known as “GiGi”, sister and friend. She gained her wings on July 14, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda McDermott; son-in-law, Clayton McDermott; grandchildren, Nora and Charles McDermott; parents, Gary Boyd and Patricia Doyal; siblings, Deanna Hepner, Erin Namekawa, and Ryan Boyd; and step-mother, Karen Boyd.
She was born on September 17, 1963 in Midland, TX. After graduating from Mason High School in 1981 she studied Business at Angelo State University. Carla loved to be outdoors and near water, especially the beach.
She worked for Northside Independent School District as a teacher for 30 years and was at Connally Middle School for 19 of those years.
