Carla Diane Gange

Diane went to be with the Lord on August 15, 2024, her mother’s birthday, after spending 81 years on this earth, with the last 45 years here in San Antonio, TX. Diane was born in La Jolla, California on April 27, 1943, to her parents R A and Billie Frances Dorsey. Diane’ s Mother and Father proceeded her in death along with her sister, Carolyn Shaw and brothers, Robert A. Dorsey and Nik Shaw.

Diane spent her most formative years in Hillsboro and Lindale, Texas, as well as Roswell, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. While living in Albuquerque, Diane was a professional runway model and appeared in many newspaper and magazine adds, along with Television commercials. She also taught fitness and personal development at a local college. After marrying Chuck Gange in 1973, she was whisked away from all of this by moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico, along with their three sons.

Diane loved raising her three sons and being a fun-loving grandma to her grandkids and great-grandkids. Diane also loved shopping, camping in a tent both in the mountains of New Mexico and on the beaches in Texas, shopping, women’s luncheons, shopping, and especially taking care of her husband, Chuck. Did I forget to mention, she liked shopping?

Diane was a P.K., Preachers Kid. Her father was a Baptist Preacher. Diane loved the Lord, along with the Lord’s work. She had a special gift and loved singing in the church choir, and always looked forward to the ‘Red Hat’ and ‘Lunch Bunch’ luncheons along with the ‘Redeemers Bible Study’ group, at Shearer Hills Baptist Church. Diane had the special ability to talk with anyone and never missed an opportunity to talk with friends and even people she didn’t even know. Diane had an infectious smile that lit up the room whenever she entered, and a captivating, caring and engaging personality. She had a loving, pure and open heart for all mankind.

Diane will always be in our thoughts, and forever in our hearts.
