Carlos Medrano Garcia, born August 24, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to Eugenio G. Garcia and Ursula M. Garcia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at age 85, with his family by his side.
Carlos was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps who served four years in the Pacific theater.
A life-long welder and mechanical maintenance specialist, he retired from both Ricther's Bakery and Sweeney and Company. Carlos was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and zest for life.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Pauline Muoz Garcia; daughters: Diana Garcia-Garcia and husband, Roger; Rachel R. Rohrer and husband, Eddie; Loretta O. Gallegos; Annette G. Yendes and husband, Paul; nine grandchildren; and many loving friends and relatives.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 20th from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
