Carlos F. Gutierrez Sr.

Carlos Gutierrez Sr. left us on January 8, 2010 at the age of 78 to be with our Lord and Loved ones. Born Oct. 12, 1931 to Juan and Elisa Gutierrez in Laredo, TX. One of the oldest of six children, who he looked after and influenced his whole life. A father of five children, who strived to provide and give more opportunities than he had growing up. He was a business owner who established Crown Dental Lab in 1965. A pioneer and well respected in his industry, he received his C.D.T. the first year they were issued 50 years ago. Carlos was a 20 year Veteran of the United States Air Force where he learned and perfected his trade, always saying that those were the best years of his life. He is survived by his children and their families; Carlos Jr., Leticia and Doug, Ricardo Mario, Fernando and Anne, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren; his four brothers and one sister. He is preceded in death by his parents, wives, Teresa and Loretta, and his son Ricardo. The Rosary will be recited on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Dr. at Callaghan Rd.
