Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, and Brother. Carlos Emilio Hoffman passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on June 2, 2025. He took his last breath at 2:32 in the morning and is finally at peace with our Lord. Carlos will be forever missed and remembered for the immense love he had for his family and his compassion and generous heart that touched everyone in his life.
He is survived by his Wife, Molly Hoffman; three daughters, Teresa Hoffman, Gabby Hoffman, and Mia Elizabeth Hoffman; three Grandchildren, Aubrey Hoffman, Liam Hoffman, and Max Hoffman; parents, Maria Teresa Hoffman and Roberto Hoffman, and siblings, Guillermo Hoffman, Eduardo Hoffman, Ricardo Hoffman, Roberto Hoffman, and Yvonne Hoffman.
Carlos was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila on November 29, 1971. He was 53 years old. In those 53 years he was committed to making a difference in this world. Carlos dedicated 25 years to education. First as a teacher and later as a principal. He will be remembered for his tremendous work ethic and his unwavering determination to make a positive impact on the lives of each and every one of his students, his staff, and his community.
He had a smile that made you feel at home and a laugh that was contagious. From a very young age he had a passion for sports. He was an avid soccer player and loved boxing. His fondest memories were Sunday afternoons sitting at home with his dad watching the Cowboys. Carlos displayed an unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. Working at his uncle’s restaurant from the age of 14, he learned the art of grilling delicious ribeye, fajitas, chicken, mollejas and burgers. Carlos spread happiness and joy to every gathering through his delicious cooking. He was most content when he was at home surrounded by family and his dogs, Princess, Luna, Lola and Jia.
Carlos’ journey with cancer was short, but he was determined to fight and to face it with courage. His 3 girls were his motivation to never give up. He was a radiant light in all our lives. A light that was extinguished too quickly, but a light that will remain with us forever in our memories and our hearts.
