Carlos “Beeper” Treviño
October 1, 2026
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Carlos “Beeper” Treviño, who passed away on October 1, 2026.
Carlos, affectionately known to so many as “Beeper,” was truly one of a kind. He was a man with a big personality, a love for life, and a passion for anything with an engine. If you knew Beeper, you knew there was never a dull moment when he was around. He lived life his way, made memories everywhere he went, and left behind stories that will be told for generations.
A mechanic by trade, Carlos didn't just work on cars for a living; working on cars was something he genuinely loved. Whether he was under the hood fixing an engine, helping someone get their vehicle running again, attending car shows, or enjoying a day at the racetrack, cars were a huge part of who he was. And anyone who knew Beeper knew that if you told him not to do a burnout, chances were he was going to do one anyway! That was just Beeper, always doing things his way and enjoying every minute of it.
Outside of his love for cars, Carlos enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, gambling, laughing, and simply enjoying life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when someone needed their car fixed. He had a way of showing his love through the things he did for others, and those acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
And of course, we can't forget Beeper's favorite treats! He loved his Blue Bell strawberry ice cream, banana pudding, Hershey's chocolate, Big Red, and all his favorite snacks. Those little things will forever bring a smile to our faces and remind us of him.
Above everything, Carlos leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and countless memories that will be treasured forever. His children and grandchildren will carry with them the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he showed in his own special way.
Carlos was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jose Angel Treviño and Rebecca Castillo Treviño; his sisters, Rosemary Treviño Barbosa and Josephine Treviño; and his brother, Ruben Treviño.
He leaves behind his beloved children: daughters Jennifer Treviño (Mario) and Kristie Alexandra Treviño; and son Carlos Barron Treviño Jr. (Jasmyne); along with his 10 cherished grandchildren, who will forever carry a piece of their grandpa in their hearts.
He is also survived by his brothers, Joey Treviño (Norma), Ismael Treviño (Sonia), Raul Treviño Sr. (Perla), Miguel Angel Treviño (Patricia), Robert Treviño (Lupe), and Henry Treviño, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and the many friends who loved him dearly.
Carlos wasn't just a mechanic, a father, or a grandfather. He was Beeper. A man who loved his cars, his family, his friends, and a good time. A man who could fix just about anything with an engine, who wasn't afraid to make a little noise, and who gave everyone around him memories they will never forget.
Although our hearts are broken and life will never be quite the same without him, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and every story shared about him.
Dad, we will miss your voice, your laughter, your advice, and even those burnouts you weren't supposed to do. We will miss calling you when something breaks, knowing you would always find a way to fix it. Most of all, we will miss simply having you here.
Rest easy, Beeper. Keep those engines roaring, the tires smoking, and the good times rolling up in Heaven. Until we meet again, you will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. 🕊️
Forever in our hearts, Carlos “Beeper” Treviño.
