Carlos “Chuck” Vargas, age 64 began raising his Marine Corps flag in heaven on May 26, 2011. He was born in San Antonio, TX to Frank Vargas & Adelina Herrera. He is meeting his father Frank & his brother Chris in Heaven.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jo Harvey; his daughter, Samantha Vargas-Centeno & husband, Luis; 3 grandchildren, Estephen, Luis & Eden; mother, Adelina; sisters, Ollie (Eddie) Rodriquez and Virginia Martinez; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.
He served in the Marine Corps, fought bravely in Vietnam, traveled the high roads as a truck driver, became a husband, father, and most importantly a grandfather. He was a loving son and a great friend. Heavenly Father hold Chuck in your hands and help his family find peace.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
