Carmel “Carmen” C. Baumann was born August 13, 1938 in Pleasanton, Texas to Trinidad and Theresa Charo. She married Roger Carl Baumann on October 25, 1962 and together they raised two sons, Daniel and Patrick Baumann. Carmen enjoyed traveling the world with her husband throughout his military career. She was a people person and made many wonderful friends throughout their travels and continued to keep in touch with them even until now. She volunteered at the base thrift stores where ever they were stationed and thoroughly enjoyed it. She loved her family dearly and loved cooking and baking for them. She loved being a good wife and mother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, LTC Roger Carl Baumann. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Baumann and Patrick Baumann; grandchildren, Rayven, Dylan and Stephan; great grandchildren, Eleanor and Robin and sisters, Maria (Trinie) Meadows and Josefa (Josie) Paniagua.
A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home with a funeral service held at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
