
Mrs. Carmen A. Mahone of San Antonio, born June 5, 1917, in Perryton, Texas, died Thursday, March 28, 2002. Her family moved to McAllen, Texas, where she met her future husband, Ted Mahone. In 1942, the couple moved to San Antonio where she lived until her death. Carmen was a devoted mother to her only child, Marie Mahone Halff, spending countless hours attending school functions, carpooling and anything else that might be needed. She was one of the founding member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and taught Sunday School for many years as well as singing in the choir and heading the Junior Altar Guild. She loved spending time in Pt. Aransas. Fishing and bird watching were her major activities while she was there. Carmen was a wonderful friend, always there to lend a hand, listen to your troubles and offer comfort. Mrs. Mahone was preceded in death by her husband of over 54 years, Ted P. Mahone. Survivors: daughter, Marie Mahone Halff and her husband Hugh; grandchildren, Hugh Halff, III and wife, Dee, Stephanie Halff Street and husband, Jerry; great grandchildren, Catherine Ann Street and Ashley Ray Street.Many thanks for the loving care given to her by Ruth C.
