Carmen Monsibais Mann, a beloved mother, sister, friend, and neighbor, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Her kind spirit, strong faith, and warm laughter touched all who knew her. She was a woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures - music, nature, and the company of those she loved. Carmen was born April 5, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas to Refugia Gonzalez and Pedro Monsibais.
Carmen had a deep love for music, especially country, mariachi, and hymns, often singing along with a voice full of heart. Whether humming a tune while tending to her flower garden or belting out a favorite hymn, music was a constant presence in her life.
Carmen shared a special bond with her sisters. Together, they created many cherished memories hosting and attending garage sales, uncovering hidden treasures, and sharing laughter along the way. Their hobby grew into a joint venture, and they proudly ran a booth at a local flea market/thrift store, delighting in giving new life to old finds.
A devoted Catholic, Carmen’s faith was central to her life. She found comfort and strength in her beliefs, and her final services will be held with a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in San Antonio.
Carmen will be remembered for her joyful spirit, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Mann, her parents, and 4 siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Hernandez and husband Reyes Najera and Lynn Mann and husband John; grandchildren, Ashley Victela, Sarah Villegas and husband Ralph, Marissa Victela, Ricky De La Fuente, Samantha De La Fuente, and Elias De La Fuente Christopher Mann Diaz; great grandchildren, Ruben Victela, Vivian Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, Mia Villegas, Vincent De La Fuente, Matthew Vasquez, and Elias William De La Fuente; sisters, Martha Mann and Lydia Farias; as well as numerous extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
May she rest in peace, her voice now part of Heaven’s choir.
