Carmen S. Montelongo

Carmen Montelongo, 87, of San Antonio, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She was born in Pearsall, TX on March 13, 1935 to Zacarias Saldivar and Sara Perez-Saldivar. She was married to Manuel Montelongo for 56 loving years. Carmen worked in the dry-cleaning business and retired in 1998. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, babysitting and Facebook in her recent years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Manuel Montelongo; parents Sara and Zacarias Saldivar; and her sister Guadalupe Lerma.

She is survived by her brother Manuel Saldivar (Mary Saldivar); daughters Gloria Rodriguez (Richard Rodriguez), Cynthia Montelongo-Bernal, Sylvia Perez (George Perez); Son Gilbert Hernandez Jr.; Grandchildren Briana Pevia, Sara Montelongo Gonzalez; Great-grandchildren Liani Klear Hernandez, Kalem Hernandez, Samaya Hernandez, Mateus Otoniel Pevia, Theo Manuel Gonzalez; brother-in-law Jesse Lerma; Pet Junior Montelongo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

The Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022 beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a Funeral Service to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. Internment following at San Fernando Cemetery No. II.
