She was born in Pearsall, TX on August 1, 1925 to Ola Lee Roper and John Hobdy Whitehead. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alvena Whitehead.
LaVerne is survived by her children: John Lane Roth; Nancy Roth Townsend and husband, Lambeth; Lee Jack Roth and wife, Christina and Julie Roth Witt. She deeply loved her grandchildren, Sydney Ola Townsend, Taylor Roth Witt, Colin Davis Roth and Courtney Ann Roth, all of whom she was very proud.
Our mother loved the simplicity of God's creation. She helped those she loved in quiet ways.
The family wishes to thank her loving friends, Gail Rogells and Diana Spencer for their support.
