

Carmen June Vanzo, a mother, sister, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 83. Born on February 4, 1941, in Clinton, Indiana, to the late August and Louise Vanzo. Carmen's life was a tapestry of family, work, and hobbies that brought joy to all who knew her.
After completing her education with an associate degree from St. Joseph's College, she embarked on a fulfilling career with Amoco/B.P., where she dedicated many years before her well-deserved retirement. Her professional legacy is marked by a commitment to excellence.
Proceeded in death are her father August Vanzo, mother Louise Vanzo, and daughter Deborah Vanzo. Carmen is survived by her son Michael Vanzo, his wife Adriane and their sons Anthony and Jonathan Vanzo, along with her grandson Ian Boyle, whom have all given her immense pride and happiness in her life.
Carmen was blessed with a caring family, including her brother Stephen Vanzo, sisters Dawn Vanzo Gessler, and Edith and her husband Timothy Weaver. Her family extended to her adored nephews and nieces, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Beyond her family and career, Carmen was an avid golfer, and her hands were rarely still. She expressed her creativity through quilting and sewing, crafting beautiful pieces that served as tangible expressions of her love and talent. Gardening was another passion, with her home surrounded by vibrant colors.
Carmen's legacy is one of enduring love, support, and the simple joys found in life's everyday moments. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
