A graduate of Tulane University of Nursing, she served as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. While working full time as the school nurse at Andersen Elementary in Guam, she simultaneously volunteered full time during Operation New Life, processing thousands of refugees at the close of the Viet Nam War.
Monti was preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband of 57 years, Joe Marvin Leeper.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Toups, her sons Jeffery Leeper and his wife Christina; Thad Leeper and his wife Emily; grandchildren Zachary, Jordan, Jackson, and Nathaniel Leeper; great grandchildren Aubrey Duran, Aria, and Anthony Leeper; as well as countless relatives that loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm, Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Porter Loring Mortuary North, with the service to follow at 3 pm
